Russland: First official registration certificate in Africa

The Patriarchal Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa has been granted the first official registration to be issued in the African continent. This event was reported by the Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church for Africa, Metropolitan Leonid of Klin in his Telegram channel. The hierarch describes this event as historical. Metropolitan Leonid expressed special gratitude for the help in the registration procedure to the Minister of Territorial Administration of the Central African Republic, Mr. Bruno Yapande.

The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church resolved on December 29, 2022 that the Patriarchal Exarchate for Africa be established at the numerous requests of African clergy who disagree with the head of the Patriarchate of Alexandria functioning in the continent who recognized the uncanonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
