The aim of the conference is to understand the tectonic shifts in the culture and society of the Russian Empire around the historical epicenter of the 1917. How did Revolution affected religious institutions and religious ideas? How did religious mind respond to the wave of massive and inevitable violence? How the Revolution was percieved in religious terms? How did the Revolution itself produce its own sacred meanings?
