Patriarch Kirill hat im Moskauer Gefängnis Matrosskaja Tischina den Grundstein für eine Kirche geweiht. An der Zeremonie für den Neubau, der im Rahmen des Programms „200 Kirchen“ umgesetzt wird, nahmen Mitte November zahlreiche Geistliche und Politiker teil. Die Kirche wird der Ikone der Gottesmutter „Freude aller Trauernden“ gewidmet, finanziert wird sie durch Spenden.

Knapp 50 Organisationen, die mit der Russischen Orthodoxen Kirche (ROK) verbunden sind, haben in der zweiten Vergaberunde des Jahrs 2018 Gelder aus dem Präsidentenfonds erhalten.
