Die katholischen Bischöfe der Slowakei haben zum bevorstehenden Besuch von Papst Franziskus vom 12. bis 15. September einen Hirtenbrief veröffentlicht. Länger als ein Jahr sei die Gesellschaft von der Pandemie gezeichnet gewesen, und man habe gefragt, „wann endlich eine gute Nachricht“ komme, „die uns erfreut, ermuntert und die ganze Gesellschaft verbindet“, so die slowakischen Bischöfe in ihrem Hirtenbrief. Mit der Zusage des Papstes zu seinem Besuch sei nun diese gute Nachricht eingetroffen.
